CHRISTINA LAKE INSIDER WINS BC ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INNOVATION AWARD
RICHMOND, B.C., March 5, 2019 ¬- The British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) and FortisBC announced that Christina Gateway Community Development Association is winner of the 2019 BC Economic Development Marketing Innovation Award for Christina Lake Insider. The mobile app, based on the 468 Insider platform from 468 Communications, was launched in 2018 to reward visitors and residents for exploring and shopping within the popular destination in eastern British Columbia.
Now in its 30th year, the awards are presented to organizations working on community-based economic development projects in B.C. and recognize individuals and groups that produce outstanding work in economic development that has helped to make a difference in supporting and expanding local economies.
“I am extremely pleased that year over year we receive strong entries that are put forward by communities and economic development professionals showcasing the creativity and smart strategies that encourage economic growth in their region,” said Dale Wheeldon, president and CEO at BCEDA. “The 468 Insider platform is a powerful tool for engaging residents and visitors within a community in a way that drives people into local businesses.”
